20th Anniversary Gala (Virtual)
September 10 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm CDT
Twenty years after FFLIC was established, this year’s Anniversary Gala will host a virtual event highlighting our second decade of member success and statewide achievements towards the betterment of all youth in Louisiana. The event will focus on FFLIC’s continued development of Black female leadership, including the support of staff, FFLIC members, and Black Girls Rising Youth Leaders. We want to pass the torch from our current leadership to a new generation that will become the faces of the organization and educate the public on the negative impacts of institutional racism and youth incarceration.
Join us in honoring: Sibil Fox Richardson of “FoxandRob,” a couple who endured and survived 21-years as an incarcerated family and were featured in the movie “Time;” Black Girls Rising, a group of young women ages 11-18, who provide holistic peer mentorship; and others who are continuing the legacy of challenging youth incarceration.
Due to the rise in covid cases in Louisiana, this year’s event will be completely virtual with a silent auction and other opportunities to honor and support the work of our organization.
Details to register will be available soon!
